Key Highlights:

  • Danny Jacobson becomes Head of A&R at Hallwood Media
  • He signed Xania Monet, first AI artist with multimillion-dollar deal
  • Hallwood’s AI roster includes China Styles and Bleeding Verse

Hallwood Media promoted Danny Jacobson to Head of A&R on October 9, 2025. He spent five years with the company and led their AI artist signings. Jacobson now oversees A&R across all divisions. He manages over 100 artists.

His biggest signing was Xania Monet. She became the first AI artist to get a multimillion-dollar record deal. Her song “How Was I Supposed to Know” hit No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B Digital Song Sales chart.

Jacobson is the cousin of Hallwood founder Neil Jacobson. He joined the company in 2020. He built the research department and created artist discovery systems. His AI signings include imoliver, China Styles, and Bleeding Verse. Hallwood became the first major label to embrace AI-generated music for commercial release.

“We move first and fast, spotting talent early and helping them turn momentum into careers,” Jacobson said in the Billboard announcement. The label also signed Drew Meadows and has several unannounced projects in the works.

Xania Monet’s chart success proves AI artists can achieve commercial success. Her single became the most-added song at R&B radio. Neil Jacobson praised Danny’s “uncanny eye for talent” and called him “the future of A&R.”
