Every show you play has people in that city who stream you and never hear about the date.

That’s how Laylo co-founder Saj Sanghvi put it when Laylo launched Discovery Agent on October 8, 2026. The AI agent texts your upcoming shows to fans on Laylo’s own network, based on the artists they already listen to on Spotify.

Your list stays out of it. These are fans who don’t follow you yet.

How Laylo’s Discovery Agent matches your shows to new fans

On the fan side, people opt in at discover.laylo.com and connect their Spotify account. Laylo then looks at who they listen to and where they live.

Each fan gets one text a month at most, on their own monthly date. The text carries the 5 soonest shows near them, all on sale and inside the next 90 days. If nothing fits that month, they get nothing: “we don’t pad the list to fill a text,” Laylo’s Discovery Agent page says.

On your side, the setup is 2 things. You add your Spotify artist link, and you create a drop or multidrop with your show dates and ticket link. Laylo matches each date to opted-in fans nearby who stream you.

Laylo’s demo text reads “hey, I found shows you might like this month. wdyt?”, followed by a card for Noah Kahan at Spark Arena in Auckland with a Get tickets button.

Laylo Discovery Agent’s soft launch: 80,000+ recommendations for nearly 600 artists

Laylo says Discovery Agent has already sent more than 80,000 show recommendations for nearly 600 artists. Music Ally’s write-up on October 9 put that number at more than 40,000, so I’m using the figure from Laylo’s own launch post and flagging the gap.

The 250,000 fans took a while. Sanghvi says Laylo spent the past year quietly building that list.

The honest answer used to be no. CRMs, ours included, are built to re-engage the fans you already have.

That was his answer to the question Laylo hears most: “Does Laylo help me get exposure?”

One number Laylo won’t give you is reach. Asked how many fans will see your show, its FAQ says: “We don’t report that, and we won’t guess at it.” What you see is the clicks your show earns, and how far a date travels depends on how many fans in that city listen to artists like you.

Who can use Laylo’s Discovery Agent, and where the fans end up

Discovery Agent is included with Laylo Pro and Enterprise at no extra fee. Laylo takes no commission on the tickets it moves, and it works with whatever ticketing you already use.

Right now it’s for artists only. Laylo’s launch post closes with: “Check your Spotify link before your next run of dates.”

The part to understand before you switch it on: the fans who get the text stay on Laylo’s list, not yours. They’re texted from the Laylo number, and your own list is never touched. The click lands on your ticket link, and you see each click in Laylo. If you want those buyers on your own list, that’s a separate step, like the ones in my piece on 4 artists who moved 200,000+ fans onto lists they own.

Discovery Agent is the newest of Laylo’s AI agents. It joins the Ticket Sales Agent from June, the Abandoned Cart Agent and the UGC Agent from July, which collects fan clips from Instagram Stories with permission.

Other companies are building AI concert discovery too. SeatGeek, Ticketmaster and Spotify are all building AI discovery, Ticketmaster is the first music partner for Meta’s Muse AI agent, and Suno just hired a Ticketmaster exec to run Songkick.

Frequently asked questions

How do fans sign up for Laylo's Discovery Agent show recommendations?

Fans opt in at discover.laylo.com and connect their Spotify account. Laylo then recommends shows based on the artists they listen to and the city they live in, and texts them from the Laylo number.

How often does Laylo's Discovery Agent text a fan, and how many shows are in each text?

Once a month at most, on the fan's own monthly date. Each text carries the 5 soonest shows near the fan that are on sale and inside the next 90 days, and if Laylo has nothing to recommend that month, the fan gets no text.

Does Laylo take a commission on tickets sold through Discovery Agent?

No. Laylo says Discovery Agent is included with Laylo Pro and Enterprise at no extra fee, and that it takes no commission on the tickets it moves. The click goes to the artist's own ticket link, on whatever ticketing they already use.

Which AI agents did Laylo launch before Discovery Agent in 2026?

Laylo launched its AI Ticket Sales Agent on June 4, 2026, with DICE among the first ticketing partners, and the UGC Agent in July 2026 to collect fan clips from Instagram Stories with permission. It also runs an Abandoned Cart Agent.
