What if you knew how a post would do before you hit publish? That’s the pitch from HumanCulture, a startup run by former Defected and AWAL execs, and it now has a music industry client list behind it.
HumanCulture launched the full version of its platform on October 1, 2026, according to its announcement. Its first clients include Defected Records, Red Light Management, Armada Big Family, Arketyp, Knox Artists and FourFour Digital, and Music Ally covered the launch on October 7.
The new piece is Jasper, an AI “creative strategist” that reads your past posts and tells you what to make next. Pricing starts at £65 per artist a month.
What HumanCulture does with 12 months of an artist’s posts
HumanCulture analyses up to 12 months of Instagram and TikTok history, roughly 400 posts. It looks at the video, the audio, the captions and the audience comments as well as the like counts, its website says.
It then breaks your posts down into a few layers:
- The image itself, tagged by what HumanCulture calls a Visual Driver, the main visual element behind how a post lands.
- The story, meaning the themes running through your content, ranked by how each one performs.
- The comments, sorted by sentiment and by where the response drops off.
Performance gets measured against how that account normally does, so one viral post doesn’t skew the picture.
That’s the raw material Jasper works from.
You ask Jasper questions in plain language. In HumanCulture’s own example, it answers that the strongest theme is Humour & Playfulness across 183 posts, then points out that 2 themes the artist posts least, Nostalgia & Memory and Lifestyle & Access, perform better. It also learns how the artist writes, from tone of voice to hashtags and emojis, so its suggestions are specific to that artist.
How HumanCulture’s Publish Readiness score works on draft posts
The second new feature is a Content Testing Hub. You upload draft images, videos or carousels with their captions, and HumanCulture predicts how they’ll land before anyone sees them.
Every version gets a Publish Readiness score, graded against that account’s own history. You can test 2 versions of the same idea and change the creative, the opening line or the format to see what moves the score.
HumanCulture says its pilots showed 82 to 90% accuracy in predicting content performance, with engagement uplifts of 500% and some above 1,000%. Those are the company’s own numbers, and it hasn’t published how it measured them.
Everyone we have worked with has access to every tool under the sun, yet they choose to work with us because those tools only offer post campaign analytics.
How much HumanCulture costs per artist
HumanCulture prices per artist, which it calls a Talent, and every tier gets the same product:
- 1 to 9 artists: £65 per artist a month.
- 10 to 24 artists: £57.50 per artist a month.
- 25 to 49 artists: £55 per artist a month.
- 50 to 99 artists: £52.50 per artist a month.
- 100 or more: contact sales.
There’s also a one-time £15 setup fee per artist, which covers the 12-month analysis. Paying quarterly saves 15%.
So a solo artist pays £80 to start and £65 a month after that. For comparison, Chartmetric’s Flow agent starts at $60 a month, but it works on streaming and chart data rather than your own posts. And Laylo’s UGC Agent collects fan clips from Instagram Stories, which is a different job again.
Who is behind HumanCulture
HumanCulture was founded by Tim Waine and Tom Macdonald. Waine led global licensing and sync at Defected, then managed talent and IP partnerships at BEN Labs. Macdonald was director of strategic marketing and brand partnerships at AWAL, working on brand strategy for Little Simz and Jungle, Music Week reported when the company was first announced in March 2026.
HumanCulture closed its first funding round at the end of 2025. Its launch quotes come from FUGA, Believe, Defected and Revelator.
I haven’t run HumanCulture on my own accounts yet. If you post for an artist every week and want to know why some posts work, the 12-month analysis is the part to judge it on, because that’s what everything else, Jasper included, is built from. If you’re earlier than that and still working out what to post, start with how to promote music on TikTok.
Frequently asked questions
Is HumanCulture, the music content platform, the same company as humanculture.ai?
No. The music platform founded by Tim Waine and Tom Macdonald lives at humanculture.com. humanculture.ai is an unrelated company that helps organizations measure how their teams adopt AI. If you're looking for Jasper or the Publish Readiness score, you want humanculture.com.
Who used HumanCulture before its October 2026 launch?
During its paid pilots, HumanCulture worked with M&C Saatchi, Believe, Defected Records, Jamie xx, JAECOO and PHA Group, with more projects for Young Recordings, Romy and Tinie Tempah, Music Week reported in March 2026.
Can HumanCulture's Jasper use streaming or ticketing data?
HumanCulture's website says you can bring streaming, ticketing or campaign data into Jasper and explore it alongside your social data. The automatic 12-month analysis itself covers Instagram and TikTok only.
How accurate is HumanCulture at predicting post performance?
HumanCulture says it showed 82 to 90% accuracy in predicting content performance during its pilot programmes. That figure comes from the company itself, and it hasn't published how it was measured or had it tested independently.
