Chartmetric launches Flow, an AI agent for music data, from $60 a month
Chartmetric launched Flow on September 8, 2026, an AI agent that answers music data questions in plain language and starts at $60 a month. The company says Flow cross-references your numbers against 14 million artists, monitors millions of tracks across every major streaming service, and writes weekly reports for priority releases. Founder and CEO Sung Cho told Music Business Worldwide it is “not just another AI chatbot.” Chartmetric built it in-house over two years.
What Chartmetric Flow does that the Chartmetric dashboard doesn’t
The old job was yours. You opened a dashboard, picked a metric, read a chart, and worked out what it meant. Flow moves that last step into the tool.
You type a question the way you would ask a data analyst. Flow searches Chartmetric’s full dataset, thinks through it, and comes back with an answer plus the numbers behind it. The demo on the product page asks for one artist’s cross-platform growth across TikTok, Spotify, and YouTube, then names the day a TikTok sound went viral and shows the Spotify lift that followed.
It also does work, not only analysis. Chartmetric says Flow can generate weekly reports for priority releases, build a multi-phase marketing plan, and keep watching tracks in the background.
Flow is part of your team, performing tasks, scheduling, automating, and working in the background as a thinking partner.
What $60, $150 and $180 get you at Chartmetric
Three doors lead to the same product, and the cheapest one is new.
Flow on its own is $60 a month. Chartmetric Premium subscribers pay $150 a month and get Flow Lite, the cut-down version. The $180 Ultra plan carries the full agent.
That $60 tier matters more than it looks. Chartmetric has been a label and management tool for years, priced accordingly. A standalone agent at $60 puts the same dataset in front of a self-releasing artist who was never going to pay $150 for a dashboard they open twice a month.
Why Chartmetric built Flow in-house over two years
Flow combines existing AI models with Chartmetric’s own data and technology. The models are rented. The dataset is the part nobody else has, and it is ten years old.
Cho makes the reasoning plain.
“Chartmetric’s goal has always been to provide the music industry with more insights for making informed decisions. We always wanted to make this data easier to consume and empower our users to ask bespoke, creative data questions.”
That is the same bet OpenStage made when it opened fan data to Claude and ChatGPT, and the one un:hurd made with its marketing tools. Whoever owns the numbers gets to own the assistant reading them.
What Chartmetric Flow means for an independent artist
You are not buying charts any more. You are buying an answer, and an answer is easier to act on and harder to check.
Two things to watch before you subscribe. Flow reasons over Chartmetric’s data, so a gap in that data becomes a gap in the answer, quietly. And a marketing plan generated in 20 seconds still needs someone who knows your release to say yes or no to it.
The useful test is one you can run in a trial month: ask Flow something you already know the answer to. If it matches what you saw in your own last release cycle, the rest of its answers get more credible. If it doesn’t, you just saved yourself a year of confident wrong numbers.
