Berlin startup Just 4 Noise has a plan for the rest of the drum kit. After its AI kick generator, Just 4 Kicks, it says Just 4 Snares, Just 4 Hats and Just 4 Drums will follow, in a roadmap first reported by Music Ally on October 20, 2026.
Just 4 Kicks itself isn’t new. It’s been on sale for months, and my tool page has listed it since July. It now costs €79 once, with updates included and no subscription. No dates or prices are out for the 3 follow-ups yet.
The pitch is simple: stop “digging through the same shared folders as everyone else” for a kick. Where Waves’ ILLUGEN generates sounds from words, Just 4 Kicks skips the text box. Instead of typing a description, you pick a style like Trap or Boom Bap, set body, dynamics, texture and decay, and hit Generate. Then you shape the result in the Sculpt tab:
What Just 4 Noise says its AI kick model was trained on
This is the part Just 4 Noise leads with. It told Music Ally the model was trained on “fully owned, in-house created and curated audio data from the outset”, recorded in studios around the world over several months.
Its own blog post from January 2026 is a little broader. It lists 3 sources: sounds it built in-house, audio licensed explicitly for AI training, and public domain recordings. It also says the approach was certified by an organisation called AI for Music.
Either way, the promise is the same. No scraped music, no Splice samples, and no YouTube audio in the training set, which is what lets Just 4 Noise call every kick royalty-free for commercial use.
One practical catch before you buy. Just 4 Kicks needs an internet connection for now, and it’s VST3 and AU only, so Pro Tools users are still waiting on AAX. Just 4 Noise says both are coming.
If you’d rather search than generate, my AI sample finder roundup covers the other route. And if the snares and hats keep the one-off €79 price, that’s a real alternative to a monthly sample subscription.
Frequently asked questions

What was Just 4 Kicks trained on?
Just 4 Noise told Music Ally in October 2026 that the model was trained on fully owned, in-house created and curated audio, recorded in studios around the world over several months. Does Just 4 Kicks work offline or in Pro Tools?
Not yet. Just 4 Kicks needs an internet connection for now, and it ships as VST3 and AU only, so there's no AAX version for Pro Tools. Just 4 Noise says an offline version and Pro Tools support are coming, without a date.
