Steal Saturday has put out 3 releases since June as an “AI producer”. With the third, a 5-track EP released on Monday, October 26, 2026, the Seoul AI music company Pozalabs said for the first time that Steal Saturday is its own act, in a press release announcing the record.
The EP is called “그럼에도, 오늘은”, which translates as “Even So, Today”. After a single and an EP of hyperpop, electropop, house and R&B, it’s a ballad record built on band sound, acoustic guitar and strings.
Pozalabs isn’t new to this site. In 2024 its CEO Wongil Huh told French collecting society SACEM that its models train only on material its own composers made, which makes it one of the few AI music companies that publicly says what it trained on.
What’s on Steal Saturday’s EP Even So, Today
Pozalabs pitches the record as 5 scenes from lives that turned out a little different from the plan: dreams, family, relationships and ordinary days. The English titles below are my translations:
- “Shape of a Dream” (꿈의 모양), featuring Naran: the title track, about a dream that didn’t disappear but changed shape.
- “I Had a Dream Too” (제게도 꿈은 있었습니다), featuring Seo Jeong-gil: a man who wanted to write but spent his life as a fisherman.
- “Even If It’s Not the Day I Pictured” (그리던 하루는 아닐지라도), with Eliot Rue: small joys inside a repeating routine.
- “The Side Dishes Mom Sent” (엄마가 보내준 반찬): sung by Steal Saturday itself, over a string arrangement.
- “FOMO (Fear Of Missing Ordinary)”, with Eliot Rue: the closer, about everyday time with the people next to you.
The music video for “Shape of a Dream” turns a tired man’s room into the sea and then into space:
One thing the release doesn’t say: whether Naran, Seo Jeong-gil and Eliot Rue are human singers or AI voices. Pozalabs describes each as an artist with a distinct voice, and Steal Saturday’s press kit calls the project the point where human ideas meet AI’s generative power. That’s all it gives you.
How Steal Saturday went from anonymous AI producer to Pozalabs act
The press kit gives Steal Saturday a one-line philosophy: no genre, only rules. One word or one musical idea gets stretched into different sounds and stories. Here’s the run so far:
Korean AI acts are getting harder to miss. The AI agent artist RŌSIEN was booked for an SBS Inkigayo stage the day before this release, and Meomuru’s Suno-voiced single hit No. 3 on Melon this month.
Until now, Steal Saturday was a name with no company attached. The reveal ties it to a business that sells AI music generation models and APIs, custom tracks finished by professional engineers, and AI music education. So the act is also a product demo, and now you know whose.
That’s the disclosure most AI acts still skip. YouTube Music now labels songs as fully or partly AI-generated, using the distributor’s tag or its own detection, but a label on the song still doesn’t tell you who built the voice. The next question for Pozalabs is the one about those 3 guest singers.
