Key Highlights:

  • Claimy raises €1.5 million for AI royalty recovery platform
  • 30% of music royalties never reach their creators
  • Platform manages €6 million across 160,000 musical works

Paris-based Claimy raises €1.5 million to fix a huge problem. About 30% of music royalties never reach the people who should get them. The AI platform compares data from collecting societies like PRS for Music and SACEM with monitoring services like BMAT to find missing payments. The company already handles €6 million in rights for 160,000 works. Their clients include teams working with David Guetta and Celine Dion.

CEO Pierre-Alban Mulliez explains how it works. “Our algorithm compares your payment reports and catalog, then automatically generates claims for any discrepancies with your PROs.” The platform checks entire catalogs including remixes, covers, and acoustic versions to make sure nothing gets missed. Claimy works on publishing rights in France and the UK. These countries face data problems with SACEM royalty distribution systems. These issues are similar to what Noctil’s OrgLink tries to solve with metadata.

This timing makes sense because the whole industry has problems with unclaimed royalties. Kobalt Music says over $1 billion in publishing royalties goes uncollected every year. The US Copyright Office report blames old systems at collecting societies for this mess. Claimy works like other revenue tools such as Opulous.AI’s royalties calculator. This suggests AI auditing will become normal for managing music rights.
