What SIQA Summit offers
Checked against the published programme. Struck-through items are confirmed absent, not merely unlisted.
- Conference sessions
- No showcases
- No trade show floor
- Awards ceremony
- Online or on-demand access
What is the SIQA Summit?
One day, one room, and the first conference built entirely around AI music as a category.
- 12 November 2026 in Downtown Los Angeles, single track, limited capacity.
- Run by the Sonic Intelligence Academy, which publishes the SIQA AI Music Charts and operates the registry that verifies AI music provenance.
- It sits the day before the AIMAs, the first AI Music Awards, at The Mayan on 13 November.
- The first edition of both. There is no previous year to judge it against, which is worth saying plainly.
Disclosure: my role with SIQA
Read this page knowing where I sit.
- I sit on SIQA’s Creative Advisory Council and I will be at both the summit and the awards.
- I do not run SIQA and I am not paid by it. The academy is an independent organisation and this directory entry is written to the same standard as the other sixteen.
- Nothing on this page is sponsored and no event in this directory has paid for placement.
- Where facts are unpublished, they are marked unpublished, including the summit ticket price, which I do not have ahead of anyone else.
What happens across the summit day?
Five published components, and a single track so you are not choosing between rooms.
- Panels and keynotes on industry, craft and the tools, programmed across the day.
- Demo lounges where the platforms behind the year’s biggest AI tracks run hands-on sessions.
- A surprise closing fireside chat, announced closer to the date.
- The Premiere Ceremony, where the first AIMA honours for craft, community and innovation are presented live.
- A networking mixer to close, with nominees, speakers and sponsors.
The single-track format is the structural difference from every other event on this calendar. Music Tectonics makes the same choice deliberately, and it is why both rooms produce actual conversations rather than corridor traffic.
What are the AIMAs, and do you need a second ticket?
A separate night, a separate ticket, and the reason most people will fly in.
- 13 November at The Mayan, a 1927 landmark theatre in Downtown Los Angeles.
- 25 categories in total, from AI Song, Artist, Album and Producer of the Year through genre awards to two classification awards for Best AI-Assisted Song and Best Human + AI Hybrid Song.
- 13 of them are presented on the awards night, building to AI Song of the Year. The rest are handed out at the Premiere Ceremony inside the summit.
- Verified AI artists in the SIQA Registry decide every category except the Off the Charts Spotlight Award, which goes to a public vote.
- Tickets are $250, capped at 600 seats, with fewer than 100 released to the public and VIP by request. The night is streamed globally.
The classification categories are the part worth watching. Turning AI-Assisted and Human + AI Hybrid into award criteria forces a public argument about how much of a track a human made, which is the question the rest of the industry keeps deferring.
What does it cost?
One number published, one not.
- Single-track panels and keynotes
- Demo lounges with AI music platforms
- The closing fireside chat
- The Premiere Ceremony and networking mixer
- The red carpet ceremony and live performances
- 13 awards presented on stage
- The summit day, which is ticketed separately
- Priority red carpet arrival
- After-party access
- Awards tickets are on sale at $250 for the 13 November ceremony.
- Summit tickets are released separately and no price had published when this went up.
- VIP for the awards is by request through SIQA directly, and described as extremely limited.
- Budget for both days. The Premiere Ceremony is inside the summit and the marquee categories are at the awards, so a single-day trip misses half the event.
Who should actually book this trip?
Book it if you are:
- An AI music artist with releases in 2026. This is the only room where that catalogue is the subject rather than the controversy.
- Building or selling an AI music tool. The demo lounges put the platforms in front of the creators who actually ship with them.
- A label, distributor or sync professional deciding how to handle AI repertoire. The registry and classification framework is the closest thing the field has to a standard.
Skip it if you are:
- Looking for a broad music business conference. The scope here is narrow on purpose. Mondo.NYC in October is the wider US business room.
- Expecting a track record. This is a first edition from a young organisation, and first editions are a different proposition from a 30th.
How much AI is on the programme?
All of it. This is the only native-AI event in the directory.
- AI music is the subject, not a track. Every panel, demo and award category is about it.
- The awards are decided by verified AI artists in the SIQA Registry rather than by a jury of executives or by chart data.
- The classification awards apply SIQA’s own framework, which splits AI-Assisted from Human + AI Hybrid and from Fully AI-Generated, the same framework behind SIQA’s mid-year 2026 report.
- Session titles are still to come. The rating is native on the published shape of the event, and the programme detail will be revisited when it lands.
For the contrast: The NAMM Show runs a named AI programme inside a gear trade show, SXSW stages the platform and policy argument at scale, and Music Tectonics puts the model companies in front of investors. This is the one where the artists using the models are the delegates.
What does it actually look like?
The AIMAs, the AI Music Awards
The first AI music awards ceremony, 13 November 2026 at The Mayan in Downtown Los Angeles.
25 categories across General Field, Artist and Performance, Classification, Genre Songs and Genre Artists, plus the publicly voted Off the Charts Spotlight Award. Tickets are $250, the room is capped at 600 seats, and fewer than 100 go on public sale. The night is streamed globally.
The programme & datesWhere is it, and can you walk between venues?
Downtown Los Angeles, California, United States Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.
Get directions →- Two days, two Downtown LA venues. The summit venue is announced separately; the awards run at The Mayan on 1038 S Hill Street the following night.
- Plan for both days or neither. The summit closes with the Premiere Ceremony, so leaving after the panels means missing the first awards handed out.
- LAX is 40 to 60 minutes from Downtown depending on traffic, and the Metro A and E lines run through the district.
- Downtown hotel rates in mid-November are moderate by LA standards, and the two venues are close enough to book one room for both nights.
When are the next editions?
Common questions
What is the SIQA Summit and how does it differ from the AIMAs?
The SIQA Summit is the conference day, 12 November 2026 in Downtown Los Angeles: a single track of panels and keynotes, demo lounges run by AI music platforms, a closing fireside chat, a networking mixer, and the Premiere Ceremony where the craft, community and innovation awards are handed out. The AIMAs are the red-carpet awards night the following evening at The Mayan, with 13 awards presented on stage and a global livestream. They are separate tickets.
How much does a SIQA Summit ticket cost?
Not published as of 16 September 2026. Awards tickets went on sale first at $250, and SIQA has said summit tickets are released separately. The summit is described as single-track and limited capacity, so the practical advice is to watch for the release rather than to assume walk-up availability.
Do you need to be a verified SIQA artist to attend the summit?
No. Registry verification governs award eligibility and voting, not attendance. The summit is a ticketed industry day open to creators, platforms and executives. Verified artists in the SIQA Registry are the ones who decide every award category except the publicly voted Off the Charts Spotlight Award.
Is the SIQA Summit only useful if you make AI music yourself?
No, and that is the argument for going. The demo lounges put you hands-on with the platforms behind the year's charting AI tracks, and the panels cover the tools, the craft and the industry position. If your work touches distribution, rights, sync or A&R, this is the room where the people producing that catalogue are in one place.
Where in Downtown Los Angeles is the SIQA Summit held?
SIQA has confirmed Downtown Los Angeles and a single-track, limited-capacity format, but the summit venue is announced separately from the awards venue. The AIMAs on 13 November run at The Mayan, a 1927 landmark theatre at 1038 S Hill Street.
How does the SIQA Summit compare to Music Tectonics for AI programming?
Music Tectonics is a music technology and investment conference where AI is the dominant theme inside a wider programme, with people like ElevenLabs and Musical AI on stage arguing unit economics. The SIQA Summit is built entirely around AI music as a creative and commercial category, with the artists making it in the room and an awards structure that classifies tracks as AI-Assisted or Human + AI Hybrid. One is the business of the tools, the other is the culture forming around them.
