MixRoom’s AI mixes the song you already recorded.

The Seoul startup announced seed funding from Korean impact investor MYSC on October 15, 2026, for a DAW built around an “AI Co-Producer”. You type what you want in plain words, and the AI does the editing, mixing and mastering on tracks you recorded yourself.

Neither company disclosed the amount in the announcement, reported by Wowtale. But Korean deal outlet Dealsite reported on October 7 that MYSC put in 100 million won at a pre-money valuation of 2 billion won, so this is a small, very early round.

What MixRoom’s AI Co-Producer does inside the DAW

The MixRoom app already works on your phone. Its App Store listing shows the flow: you type “Mix it to an ambient style”, and the AI Co-Producer reports what it’s doing (adding modulation effects, adding reverb, finalizing EQ) on a guitar and drum session.

So it’s closer to an assistant engineer than to Suno. The listing says it plainly: “Mixroom is not a generative app that creates results for you.” You review what the AI did, change it, or throw it out.

The other half is collaboration. Projects live in the cloud, so you can start on your phone, keep going on a Mac, and share the session for feedback instead of emailing audio files back and forth. That’s the same idea BandLab and Audiotool 3.0 built their DAWs on. And MixRoom’s site says your existing VST plugins, MIDI gear and external hardware carry over.

I haven’t run MixRoom yet, so this is what the company and its app listing say it does.

How MixRoom plans to train its mixing and mastering AI

MixRoom is building its own mixing and mastering models, trained on how working producers and engineers make their calls. That puts it next to AI mastering tools like LANDR and RoEx, but inside a DAW you talk to.

On the data, MixRoom says it plans to name where its training data comes from, ask for consent, and share results with the people who provided it. It hasn’t said how that sharing will work yet.

Testing happens in-house first. MixRoom runs its own studio and a label, 50-Records, and plans to use the product on real productions and at song camps before the professional DAW launches.

Rather than an AI that generates music for people, we want to create a music production environment where artists can coexist with AI that understands their intentions and expands their capabilities.
— Hansol Son, CEO, MixRoom

Next for MixRoom: the official launch of that professional DAW, then expansion beyond Korea.

Frequently asked questions

Is the MixRoom app free?

The app, listed as Mixroom - AI Music Editor on the App Store, is free to download with in-app purchases, and it is also on Google Play. MixRoom's website lists 4 standard paid plans plus an Enterprise option, with 10% off for annual billing.

Who founded MixRoom?

Hansol Son founded MixRoom in February 2025 in Busan, under the name Moss, according to Dealsite. Son studied industrial and systems engineering at KAIST, and the company now has an office in Songpa, Seoul.

What is MYSC, the investor behind MixRoom's seed round?

MYSC, short for MY Social Company, is a Korean impact investor. Alongside the seed money, it picked MixRoom for the 2026 EMA Content GROW+ program it runs with Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, Dealsite reports.

Does MixRoom have a desktop version?

Yes. MixRoom's website offers a macOS download next to the iPhone and Android apps, and says the DAW works with your existing VST plugins, MIDI and external hardware. The company says the seed money will go toward officially launching that professional software.
