The best features don’t come from just anywhere.

The best features come from innovation.

Apple is pushing the boundaries with iOS 18.

Apple Music on iPhones will soon get Apple Intelligence-powered features. This update will introduce a new “Create Image” button on the editing page of a Playlist. This button will lead to the new AI-powered Image Playground app.

Here’s what you need to know about this exciting update:

1) AI-Generated Playlist Artworks:

  • With Apple iOS 18, Apple Music users can generate AI artworks for their playlists.
  • The “Create Image” button will allow users to prompt Apple Intelligence to create images in various styles like animation, sketch, and illustration.

2) Image Playground App:

  • This new app will be integrated into Apple Music.
  • It offers a creative space for users to generate unique images using AI.

3) System-Wide AI Capabilities

  • Apple Intelligence will bring features like writing assistance, summarization, and image generation.
  • These capabilities will be available across iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia.

4) Development and Testing

  • The feature is still under development and not available on iOS 18 Beta for testing.
  • Apple is expected to start testing these features in future iOS 18 beta updates.

5) Additional iOS 18 Improvements

  • The latest developer beta includes a new “Controls Menu” in the Camera settings.
  • It also adds new window sizing options for mirroring the iPhone screen on a Mac.
  • Expanded Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging support is now available in the UK, Canada, and Spain.
  • Minor redesigns to app icons and user interfaces are also part of the update.

Stay tuned for more updates as Apple continues to innovate with iOS 18.

When does iOS 18 come out?

iOS 18 is expected to be released to the public in mid to late September 2024. Here are the key details:

    • Public beta: Available now (launched July 15, 2024)
