Key Highlights:

  • An AI-made song called “Devil in Her Eyes” was wrongly labeled as a collaboration between Eminem, Post Malone, and Jelly Roll.
  • Many fans thought the song was real and searched for it on streaming services.
  • Artists like Lainey Wilson and FKA Twigs are asking for new laws to stop people from using AI to copy their voices

A song called “Devil in Her Eyes” went viral online after people thought Eminem, Post Malone, and Jelly Roll had teamed up for a new track. In reality, the song was made by AI, but it sounded so real that thousands of fans searched for it, hoping to find an official release. The song used AI to copy the voices and styles of the three artists, making it hard to tell it was fake.

Even though the videos had captions saying the song was made by AI, most people didn’t notice. Some Facebook pages, especially those aimed at older listeners, shared the song as if it was a real collaboration. The AI track was partly based on a song by a lesser-known artist named Bryce Savage, showing how AI can mix real music with fake celebrity voices to create something new.

Country singer Lainey Wilson spoke to Congress about how using AI to copy someone’s voice feels like a personal attack. She, along with other artists like Martina McBride and FKA Twigs, wants new rules to protect singers from having their voices copied without permission. The music industry is split—some artists are open to using AI, while others are worried about losing control over their own voices. As AI gets better, it’s becoming harder to tell what’s real and what’s not.
