Suno-Generated Track Charts Alongside Pop Royalty
An AI-generated song now sits between Bruno Mars and Justin Bieber on the Billboard charts.
China Styles, a faceless artist who creates music using Suno, landed at #2 on Billboard R&B Digital Song Sales with “I Love Me, LOUD.” The track also hit #3 on R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales.
She shared the news on TikTok:
The artist behind the project is Margaret Binham, a former nail technician who discovered AI music tools in early 2025.
Former Nail Tech Built 900K Listeners Before Label Deal
Binham spent 20 years as a nail technician before pivoting to AI content creation during the pandemic. She discovered Suno AI music generator through a Timbaland advertisement on TikTok.
“I literally have over 50 different journals of diaries from all of the times,” Binham said in a recent interview. “I take my notes from 1995, 1998, put it into ChatGPT, and ask it to create lyrics based off of this poem.”

She accumulated 22 million independent streams and 900,000 monthly Spotify listeners before signing with Hallwood Media’s AI roster. Six labels including Sony reached out. Timbaland contacted her personally.
Binham distributes through DistroKid and generates 500+ songs per album cycle to find the right sound.
Billboard Success Validates Faceless Artist Model
This chart placement arrives as AI artist record deals face intense scrutiny from traditional musicians. Kehlani’s AI criticism and ongoing RIAA copyright lawsuits against Suno represent the industry pushback.
Yet Hallwood continues building its AI roster with artists like China Styles and Xania Monet.
The economics favor volume. Binham holds 10,000 songs in her Suno account and produces content at speeds no traditional artist can match.
For independent musicians, this signals a new reality. You’re competing against creators who bypass studios, session musicians, and production costs entirely. The barrier to entry for charting music dropped to a subscription fee and a compelling story.
