3 songs, 1 lyricist, and AI on the production side. That’s the debut album from Raagverse, a new Indian music label built to pair human songwriting with AI tools, Variety reported on October 19, 2026.

The album, Janaa Hai Toh Jao, came out on October 20 with the title track, “Koi Keh De Usse” and “Tere Liye.” Mamta Javkar wrote the lyrics for all 3, and the release goes to YouTube Music, Apple Music, Spotify and the other major streaming services.

Raagverse comes from Amita Madhvani, CEO of Equinox Virtual, the company she co-founded with director Ram Madhvani. Equinox Virtual is the AI and immersive-tech arm of Equinox Films and Ram Madhvani Films.

How Raagverse splits the work on Janaa Hai Toh Jao between Mamta Javkar and AI

Every Raagverse song starts with Javkar’s words and the feeling behind them. AI then comes in as one of several tools that shape that material into a finished recording, and people make the calls on lyrics, creative direction and the mood of each track.

The announcement doesn’t name the AI tools. It also doesn’t say who sings on the 3 tracks, or whether the vocals are human.

Madhvani’s first run at this setup was Mohini – Khud Se Pyaar, Equinox Virtual’s AI-created musical microdrama. On that project she wrote the multilingual lyrics with co-creators and composed the music through Suno, Variety reported in July.

“What stayed with me from that experience was that technology could give us new ways to execute an idea, but the idea itself still needed to come from somewhere deeply human. With Raagverse, I wanted to take that thought into music,” she said.

It is not human creativity versus AI. It is about seeing what becomes possible when human imagination leads and technology helps us take it somewhere new.
— Amita Madhvani, CEO, Equinox Virtual

Raagverse is registered as an intellectual property, and Equinox Virtual plans to release more music made the same way under it. The label sits on a slate that also includes an AI-built virtual reality experience drawn from the Bhagavad Gita.

Would Raagverse’s Janaa Hai Toh Jao count as AI-Assisted music?

Under the SIQA classification framework, a track is AI-Assisted when a human fills one or more core creative roles and AI fills others. “Human songwriting with AI production and vocals” is one of SIQA’s own examples, so songs built on Javkar’s lyrics with AI production fit that tier.

The RIAA and IFPI labels ask a different question. Their proposal gives a capital “AI” tag to tracks whose lead vocals or key instrumental performances are AI, and a lowercase “ai” to tracks made substantially by humans with AI used for certain elements.

Raagverse hasn’t said what the AI made on these 3 songs, so that second answer stays open. The answer matters on YouTube Music too, one of the album’s platforms, which now tags songs as fully, partly or no Gen AI from the distributor’s declaration or its own detection.

Raagverse joins other Indian music companies building around AI in 2026, from Eros Music Worlds’ AI-native artists to Saregama’s AI music videos for its 1960s film songs.
