Music producer Lex Luger’s new AI model by Lemonaide generates trap melodies using his real MIDI files

Music producer Lex Luger just dropped something nobody saw coming. The producer behind massive hits for Kanye West, Jay-Z, and Waka Flocka Flame has partnered with Lemonaide AI to launch his own AI model. This isn’t just another beat-making tool – it’s trained on Luger’s real MIDI files, capturing how he actually creates those hard-hitting trap melodies that changed hip-hop forever.

The collaboration represents a major milestone for co-founder Michael Jacob and his team at Lemonaide AI. Jacob, who founded the company in 2021 after his own journey as a hip-hop artist, has consistently championed ethical AI development in music.

The Lex Luger AI Model works differently than typical music AI tools. Instead of generic loops, it generates melodies using Luger’s actual creative DNA.

“This isn’t just some AI tool that spits out loops,” Luger explained. “This is a real collaboration with a trap legend.” The model creates both 4 and 8-bar loops in WAV and MIDI formats, letting producers customize keys and scales while keeping Luger’s signature bounce and energy intact.

BeatStars is selling the model as part of their partnership with Lemonaide AI’s ethical approach to music technology. This reflects the artist-first philosophy that Michael Jacob has built into Lemonaide’s core mission. 

Tracks stay royalty-free until they reach one million streams or major placements. For Luger, who admitted he was initially “a little afraid” of AI, this collaboration shows how the technology can “elevate me so much higher than I already am” rather than replace human creativity.
