The largest electronic music event in the world, where the conference and the festival are genuinely the same event.

• Five days in October, and 2026 is the 30th edition.
• Over 11,000 music professionals during the day.
• More than 3,300 artists playing over 1,200 events across 300-plus venues at night.
• You are not choosing between the business programme and the music. The Pro Pass covers both, and the deals reportedly happen in both.

More than the name suggests, which is why the headline price reads high for a badge and reasonable for what it is.

• The full four-day conference across every track — ADE Pro, ADE Green, ADE Culture Hub — based at Felix Meritis and other official venues, including keynotes, masterclasses and special events.
• The entire ADE Festival and ADE Arts & Culture programme, with an access map. Capacity is limited at high-demand venues, so it is not a guaranteed door everywhere — but it is the difference between choosing from 1,200 events and buying individual tickets.
• All official Business Hubs, networking events and matchmaking sessions.
• Year-round access to the ADE Pro database in the app, where you can contact other attendees after the event. That last part is underrated — most conference networking evaporates when everyone flies home.
• Five days of free GVB public transport, 30-plus recorded sessions from the previous edition, and the anniversary ADE bag.

Book it if you are:

• Working in electronic music, without qualification. If dance music is your business, ADE is the one event you do not skip.
• A DJ or producer. The densest concentration of labels, booking agents and fellow producers in the calendar. Label showcases and listening sessions run continuously.
• A label, agent or manager in electronic music. Five days, one city, everyone present — it is the annual meeting point.
• A service provider or technology company where dance music is a meaningful market. The Business Hubs give you somewhere to actually sit down.

Skip it if you are:

Most of ADE is open — buy a pass and go. The development programmes are the exception.

• ADE Lab runs from Lab Village at Westergasfabriek, and in 2026 it splits into tiers.
• ADE Lab On Track is new: a three-day academy for emerging producers and performing artists, built around masterclasses, mentoring, studio sessions and demo drops.
• ADE Incepted is the selective one. Twelve emerging creatives spend four days simulating the full process of developing and releasing an EP, working towards an actual release with Sony Music and a showcase on an ADE stage. Twelve places is genuinely twelve.
• Apply early. The windows close well before the event.

If you are early in your career and electronic music is your lane, these are worth more than a Pro Pass.

Less visible than you would expect from an event this size — and this rating is provisional.

• ADE Pro carries technology and innovation programming inside its conference tracks, and ADE Lab is where production tools get taught rather than debated.
• No named AI track had been announced for the 30 YEARS ADE programme when this was assessed.
• The speaker waves released through August lean towards artists, culture and policy rather than AI specifically.
• The grid was incomplete. ADE announces in waves through September and October, so this rating is provisional and will be revisited.

The context that makes this worth watching is that dance music has moved faster than any other genre on AI policy. Beatport banned fully AI-generated music and found only 8% of its users wanted to hear it — a harder line than any major DSP has taken. Meanwhile AI stem splitting is now routine for DJs preparing edits. That gap between what the storefronts forbid and what the working DJ actually uses is the most interesting unresolved argument in electronic music, and ADE is where both sides drink in the same bars.

For a named AI programme inside a large event, The NAMM Show is still the clearest case on the calendar.
